Health and Well-being
In addition to working for the social and financial improvement of the communities, we also ensure that the rural communities enjoy excellent health. Every year, we choose some of the most backward villages and conduct a complete health survey of the area and its residents. Based on the findings, we issue separate medical cards for each household, with detailed medical history of the family members. Medical camps are conducted at regular intervals. We provide higher treatment and medicines to the patients, with the support of government and private hospitals. Special medical camps are conducted for women, children, senior citizens, and for the differently-abled. We conduct awareness campaigns for women on reproductive health and menstrual cycle, and the importance of using sanitary napkins. Regular screening camps are conducted to identify instance of breast and uterine cancer. Attempts are on to procure state-of-the-art ambulances.
We conduct regular Yoga and meditation classes in order to combat lifestyle diseases like blood pressure, stress and diabetes. In addition to dramatically improving the physical well-being of the participants, these classes have also helped in reducing unnecessary disputes and quarrels, and is helping them lead a peaceful and civilized life. Attempts are on to bring more and more youth into this programme. Special teams have been formed in the villages to motivate the youth to join such classes.
